↺ Round trip availableFerries depart Klong Jilad Pier (4 km from Krabi Town) at 9:00, 10:30, 13:00, and 15:00. Shorter crossing than Phuket. Joint tickets from Krabi Airport include pier transfer. Speedboats take about 1 hour.
↺ Round trip availableDirect speedboat or ferry from Koh Lanta — popular with island-hoppers doing the Ao Nangman circuit. Bundhaya Speed Boat and Tiger Line run the route. High-season only (Nov–Apr). Rough seas possible in monsoon months.
Every way to reach Phi Phi — Phuket vs Krabi ferries, speedboat options, Ao Nang departures, and Koh Lanta connections. Our complete guide covers operators, schedules, pier logistics, and the cheapest booking combinations.
The filming location of The Beach (2000). Reopened with strict conservation rules — max 300 visitors at a time, 1-hour limit, no swimming (knee-deep wading only). Longtail boats from Tonsai take 45 minutes. Blacktip reef sharks in the shallows.
Over 20 dive sites in the Phi Phi Marine Park. Shark Point for leopard sharks, King Cruiser wreck for advanced divers, Bida Nok and Bida Nai for beginners. PADI shops in Tonsai from ฿3,500 for a discover dive. Visibility peaks Nov–Apr.
The Phi Phi Viewpoint trail climbs to 186 metres with panoramic views of both bays. Three viewpoints, each higher than the last. Go early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat. ฿30 entry fee. Long Beach and Loh Dalum are a short walk from Tonsai.
Loh Dalum Beach transforms after dark — fire shows, bucket bars, and beach parties nightly. Slinky’s, Hippie’s Bar, and Stones Bar are the main venues. Boat parties run most nights in high season. Pool parties at day clubs too.
The signature Phi Phi tour. Longtail or speedboat to Pi Leh Lagoon (swimming in emerald water), Viking Cave (view from boat), Loh Samah Bay (snorkelling), and Maya Bay. Half-day tours depart 6:30 AM or 1:30 PM. Morning is less crowded.
North of Phi Phi Don. Bamboo Island has the clearest water in the archipelago — white sand, shallow reef, perfect snorkelling. Mosquito Island (Koh Yung) is quieter with better coral. Combined full-day tour with lunch. ฿200 national park fee on top.
Hire your own longtail and captain for the day. Set your own stops — Monkey Beach, Shark Point snorkelling, secret bays the group tours skip. ฿3,000–5,000 for the whole boat (up to 6 people). Best value for groups or couples who want flexibility.
Everything you need to know before your first trip to Phi Phi. ATMs and cash (there are only a few on the island), insurance, the car-free reality, monsoon season warnings, what to pack, and the things nobody else tells you.
Tonsai Village for nightlife and budget stays. Long Beach for quieter sand. Laem Tong for upmarket seclusion (boat-access only). Loh Ba Gao for boutique resorts. Area-by-area breakdown with real price ranges and honest recommendations.
Day-by-day itineraries for 2, 3, and 5 days on Phi Phi. Morning Maya Bay tours, afternoon beach time, evening fire shows. Including budget breakdowns, transport between spots, and what to skip if you’re short on time.
